We have significant experience in employment law including but not limited to general provision of employment advice and opinions, matters relating to social security, trade and labour unions, redundancy, unfair dismissal, transfer of employment and labour disputes and resolution.

 

Our Thai partner (Sira Panichkul) has been granted with a Labour Law Consulting License issued by the Department of Labour of Thailand which allows him to be involved in labour dispute negotiation in Thailand as an advisor and representative of clients who can be the employer or employee as the case may be.  This gives us an even wider scope of service and convenience to be provided to our clients as locally certified lawyers could not participate in the negotiation unless they have been granted the Labour Law Consulting License.

• Devro Plc – advising Devro on labour and employment laws in relation to engagement of employee in Thailand through foreign entity and issues consequences in respect of taxation and permanent establishment and foreign business act, social security registration and employee’s benefits;

• Eaton Electric Co., Ltd – advising Eaton Electric on labour and employment laws in relation to termination of employment and redundancy;

• FedEx – advising FedEx on labour and employment laws in respect of employment contract, termination of employment and integration of work force after acquisition transaction;

• FWD – advising FWD on labour and employment laws in respect of breach of statutory regulatory requirement and misconduct of an employee and approach of FWD in relation to issuance of notice and warning and termination as a result of the breach;

• G4S – advising G4S on the non-solicitation issues;

• Johnson & Johnson Services Inc. – advising J&J on the new outsourcing agreement;

• JP Morgan – advising on labour and employment laws in respect of implementation of change to employment schemes;

• Manulife Insurance (Thailand) Pcl. – advising on the labour case of unfair dismissal claim from a former employee;

• Nissan Motor – advising Nissan Motor on the occupational health and safety issues;

• Nokia Group – advising Nokia on labour and employment laws in relation to employment agreement;

• Rolls-Royce Plc – advising Rolls-Royce on labour and employment laws in respect of termination and redundancy;

• TriMas group – representing TriMas on a number of labour court proceedings with their labour union where the main issue was unfair termination and also representing on the negotiation of collective agreement with the labour union and election of the employee committee;

•  Turkish Airline – advising Turkish Airline on the various employment issues relating to the negotiation of termination.
